WVa: Driving up Bolt Mountain

Today we drove out rt 99 up bolt mountain and then down towards Oceana on rt 85. The natural beauty of the frost tipped trees at the top of the Bolt ridge...







...Was contrasted with the industrial coal processing plant conquering the valley at the bottom.

WVa: Rock Creek Locals

On Jan 7th we spent a night around the fire drinking beers and sharing stories with some of the locals here in Rock Creek, WV.

his good friend had his knuckle dislocated and can no longer
bend his fingers.

On Jan 5th I spent four hours sitting in our good friend Victor's van on watch from 10p until 2a. Jonathan, the coal baby and I made sure that all of our fellow activists were safe and their fires stoked.
